Jupiter – Saturn Impact on Natural Disasters

Planetary Impact
Invoking the wisdom of the great sages Varahamihira and Parasara, DR. B. V. RAMAN drew attention to the fateful combination of the nultaneous transit of Krittika and Visakha respectively by Saturn and Jupiter during October and November 1970, which according to the sages forebode “terrible calamity for mankind” (THE ASTROLOGICAL MAGAZINE, January 1970). Such an eventuality envisaged nearly 2000 years in advance was remarkably fulfilled when a terrific cyclone struck the eastern part of the Indian subcontinent on November 13, 1970 wrecking havoc and leaving nearly half a million people dead, in what was one of the worst human disasters on record. Saturn in Aries ranged opposite Jupiter in Libra was greatly energized in alignment with the Full Moon releasing great devastating power. The sages thus provided the clue to the inherent potential of the superior planets Saturn and Jupiter as indicators of deadly calamities when in mutual opposition and conjunction position. We present below the incidence of some of the most catastrophic natural calamities that have struck in different parts of the world under the impact of the mighty planets Jupiter and Saturn coming together in conjunction or moving apart in opposition supporting the inference drawn by the sages.
