The Ashtakavarga of Sun in a given horoscope
Given below are the specific house where each of the seven planets proves auspicious when considered each of the eight points (the seven planets and Lagna).

2. Moon – 3,6,10,11
3. Mars – 1,24,7,8,9,10,11
4. Mercury – 3,5,6,9,10,11,12
5. Jupiter – 5,6,9,11
6. Venus – 6,7,12
7. Saturn – 1,2,4,7,8,9,10,11
8. Lagna – 3,4,6,10,11,12
The natal chart and the benefic points are used to cast the Ashtakavarga charts. The individual Ashtakavarga chart is also identified as the Bhinnashtavarga.

Example: 1941, Sept 27th, 8:30 PM, Singapore
When there are more points in a rasi, when Surya moves (transit) in that rasi, it is said to be favorable for marriage. The native will also get favorable results in employment, help from higher authorities, benefit in real estate business, help from elders, benefit in wealth accumulations, etc.
