Gulika
Gulika is an Upagraha, a satellite, that is related to Saturn. It is a theoretical point, and its position is mathematically determined for predictive purposes. Gulika, which is also known as ‘maandi,’ is the offspring of Manda or son of Saturn. It is an imitative planet according to the notion in South India particularly in Kerala. A few consider Gulika and Maandi as diverse concepts.

Even though invisible Gulika is said to rise two times a day, i.e. day and night. Gulikan’s rise is after a definite time from sunrise and sunset.
Note: The table has been created as 30 Ghati during daytime and 30 Ghati in the night. Appropriate changes must be made in the Gulikan’s rise time according to the real Dinamana (duration of the day) and Rathrimana (duration of the night).
Apart from its Drishti in the 7th house, Gulikan also has Drishti in the 2nd and 12th houses.
