The 27 stars have been divided into Purusha yoni and Sthree yoni. For a man born in Purusha yoni, a woman born in Sthree yoni is the best match. If both belong to Sthree yoni, it is medium. But if both are born in Purusha yoni, it has to be avoided. If the man and woman are born in the opposing yonis, then it is highly unfavourable. The lack Yoni porutham will lead to unpleasant outcomes like dissatisfaction, misery related to children etc.
Purusha Yoni Stars
Ashwathi, Bharani, Pooyam, Ayilyam, Makam, Uthram, Chothi, Vishakham, Thrikketta, Moolam, Pooradam, Uthradam, Thiruvonam, Pooruruttathi
Sthree Yoni Stars
Karthika, Rohini, Makayiram, Thiruvathira, Punartham, Pooram, Atham, Chithira, Anizham, Avittam, Chathayam, Uthrattathi, Revathi.
Dina Porutham
If man is born in any star of 3, 5, 7, 12, 14, 16, 21, 23, 25th from the woman’s star then there is no dina porutham. This is considered inauspicious. However, since 7, 16 and 25 have the advantage of Mahendra porutham, they need not be considered adverse. From the pada of the star in which the woman was born, the person born in the 88th pada should not be matched. So is the person born in the nakshatrapada just behind the woman’s pada (108th quarter).
This porutham signifies the mental harmony and smooth life of the couple. But if the Rasiporutham and Yoniporutham are favourable, then Dina porutham would not exert much dosha.
Sthree Deerkha Porutham
The basis of this porutham is the distance from the woman’s star to the man’s birth star. If the distance between both stars is greater than 15, then there is Deerga porutham. This porutham provides long marital life.
